Uinta Mountains, Utah - Hiking

Rob and I decided to do a hike in the Uinta Mountains this weekend to get away from the extreme heat and wildfire smoke in Salt Lake City. We succeeded in escaping the heat (it was only in the high 70s) but the nasty smoke was everywhere and made for some hazy scenery. I did a nice hike with Jacob last year in Amethyst Basin so I picked a hike in an adjacent basin (Middle Basin) with several lakes for this trip. It may have been a bit on the long side ... 18 miles ... and there may have been some short tempers at times when the hike never seemed to end .. but overall it was an awesome trip into the High Uintas. This would be an excellent overnight backpacking trip.
